ANTIQUE EUROPEAN CHERUBS DISH: The base is skillfully embossed with four playful cherubs on a branch, picking grapes from the vine. A fabulous piece of antique Victorian sterling silver, the sides are chased and pierced and feature elaborate scrollwork and rose garland decoration. There is a vacant cartouche on all four sides. Use it as a bonbon dish or hang it on the wall. Marked on the back A835 denoting the silver content. Extremely good condition, a solid piece. Measures 12.5cm (5in) square at the top and 5.8cm (2 1/4in) square at the base, height 2.5cm (1in).
